Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent disconnection accident by detecting an inductance change signal of a connecting portion and a damaged portion of a steel cord in the interior of a belt conveyer and a reference position of a belt to decide a damaged spot. CONSTITUTION:A reference position mask 7 detecting sensor 8 and a steel cord inductance detecting sensor 9 are disposed on return side of an endless belt 1, to input each detection signal during running to an analyzer 11. The analyzer 11 is adapted to decide whether an inductance signal 9 is at a joint portion or a damaged portion in comparison with a preset joint map. When the same damaged spot is continuously discovered several times, it is displayed and a warning 12 is given. Thus, a disconnection accident can be prevented.

``Problems to be solved by the invention'' The purpose of the present invention is to prevent cutting accidents by detecting damage positions in long belt conveyors, wire ropes, etc. in advance. The present invention detects an inductance change signal at a joint or damaged part of a steel cord in an endless belt, wire rope, etc. and a reference position of the belt, rope, etc., and determines the damaged position of the steel cord. It is composed of a characteristic method for detecting damaged parts of steel cords on belt conveyors.

Therefore, a reference position 7 provided on the endless belt l is detected by a sensor 8 provided on the return belt side, a change in inductance is detected by an inductance detection sensor 9 of the By detecting this, it is possible to determine the distance from the reference position 7 to the inductance changing part, that is, the damaged part of the steel cord, and determine its position.

``Example 1: At one end of the conveyor by the endless belt 1, a driving roller 2,
A driven roller 3 is provided at the other end, and the return belt 1 is provided with a tension roller 4, a tension weight 5, and a guide roller 6. The endless belt 1 has a belt reference position 7.
A reference position detection sensor 8 and a steel cord inductance detection sensor 9 are provided on the return belt side. An amplifier 10 is connected to the inductance detection sensor 9, and the amplifier 10 and the reference position detection sensor 8 are connected to the analysis bag jilt.
and connect it to the display unit 12. Connection may be made by wireless or wired signals. The analyzer 1) compares the detection signal from the amplifier 10 and the belt reference position mark 7 with a preset joint map based on the pattern of the detection signal from the detection sensor 8.
Determine whether the signal detected is at the joint or damaged location of the steel cord. In addition, it is preferable that the analysis device 1) is a device that can display the damaged location on the display unit 12 and issue an alarm when the same damaged location is detected once or several times in a row.

``Effect: Since the present invention is based on the above-mentioned method, damage (cutting, etc.) to N installed steel cords and wire ropes of belt conveyors is avoided.
The location can be found in advance and repairs can be made before cutting.
