層を形成すると共に、ボルト9を多孔リテーナ7と緩衝
材10′を通して上記ボス部8に螺着することにより、
多孔リテーナ7及び緩衝材10′を固定したチェーンカ
バー1を装着したので、カバー1の制振効果により騒音
が低減し、緩衝材の吸音効果、遮音効果とあわせて、最
も効果的なカバー1からの放射音対策が可能となり、他
に例のない低騒音の単車用エンジンを得ることができる
利点があるばかりでなく、その構成が簡単であることか
ら、コスト高になることなく容易に実用化できる利点が
あり、チェーンカバー1の騒音対策の技術分野における
貢献度は大きい。
