Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent adhesion of spatter, improve its separation and prevent short circuiting phenomenon between a chip and welded object by forming a nozzle member of a nonconductive material such as ceramic etc. CONSTITUTION:To assemble a welding nozzle 3, an inner peripheral thread 6 of a supporting ring 2 is screwed to the tip of the welding torch 1 with an outside fastening ring 4 screwed to the outer peripheral thread 7 of the supporting ring 2. Then, the nozzle member 3 formed of a nonconductive material is inserted between holding pawls 8 and thrusted in until a connecting projection 10 enters a concave groove 12. With the connecting projection 10 fitted in the recessed groove 12, the outside fastening ring 4 is rotated and shifted to the tip side, and the holding part 16 of the outside fastening ring 4 is brought into contact with the tapered part 11 of the supporting ring 2 by pressing. Thus, assembling is completed.

Conventionally used nozzles for gas shielded arc welding are integrally formed of metal (1iJ) and are used by screwing onto the tip of the welding torch. In the nozzle, the nozzle tip 61i19B wears out during use, making it easy for welding spatter to adhere to the nozzle, causing welding work to be interrupted to remove spatter, or requiring a great deal of effort to remove firmly adhered spatter. The disadvantage is that it requires effort. Moreover, the adhering spatter bridges the gap between the welding tip and the nozzle, and when the nozzle comes into contact with the workpiece during welding work, the welding tip and the workpiece are short-circuited through the nozzle, and the nozzle This caused problems such as damage to not only the torch but also the torch itself. This not only causes the disadvantage of economic loss due to damage to equipment, but also puts psychological pressure on workers who have to be careful about the short-circuit phenomenon described above during welding work. It is also a contributing factor.

In addition, even in automatic welding using robots, etc., whose application has been rapidly expanding in recent years, from the perspective of continuous work over long periods of time, spatter adhesion to the nozzle as described above and associated equipment Prevention of damage has become one of the important technical challenges.

In order to prevent the above-mentioned drawbacks, it may be possible to form the entire gas-shielded arc welding nozzle from a non-conductive material such as ceramic, but as is well known, ceramic Since this material is easily damaged, even if a gas-shielded arc welding nozzle of the same shape as a conventional one is formed using this material, it is considered extremely difficult to put it into practical use as it is.

Next, a procedure for assembling the gas-shielded arc welding nozzle as described above will be explained. First, with the outer tightening ring 4 secured to the outer threaded portion 7 of the support ring 2, the inner threaded portion 6 of the support ring 2 is screwed onto the tip of the welding torch 1. Next, the nozzle member 3 is inserted between the gripping claws 8 and pushed in until the engaging protrusion 10 fits into the groove 12.

Then, with the engagement protrusion 10 fitted into the groove 12, the outer tightening ring 4 is rotated to move it toward the tip side, and the holding portion 16 of the outer tightening ring 4 is attached to the tapered portion 11 of the support ring 2. Assembly is completed by pressing them into contact. In this way, since the holding part 16 of the outer tightening ring 4 is brought into pressure contact with the tapered part 11 of the support ring 2, it is possible to prevent the gripping claw part 8 from expanding, and the nozzle member 3 is pressed during welding work. It is possible to effectively prevent the material from falling off. In addition, when replacing the nozzle member 3,
All you have to do is rotate the outer tightening ring 4 in the opposite direction to the above and move it toward the base side, release the pressure on the tapered part 11 by the holding part 16, and pull out the nozzle member 3 from the gripping claw part 8. In the above embodiment, the nozzle member 3 is provided with two grooves 12, 12 near both ends, which means that when one end near the arc wears out, the nozzle member 3 is reversed and Of course, it is also possible to provide the groove 12 only at one end so that it can be used again.

The gas-shielded arc welding nozzle of the present invention is configured as described above. Therefore, according to the gas-shielded arc welding nozzle of the present invention, spatter is less likely to adhere and its removability is good. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent a short circuit between the tip and the object to be welded, and as a result, it is possible to significantly improve the durability of the gas-shielded arc welding nozzle and the workability of welding.

The average service life of the gas-shielded arc welding nozzle of this invention is several times longer than that of conventional nozzles! I agree. Moreover, the film deposition on the nozzle member can be done simply by rotating the outer tightening ring, that is, in one operation, which is extremely convenient.
