Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the smoothness of a film surface by moving the film surface made up of a laminate of a film and a support kept tight on a mirror- finished roll. CONSTITUTION:A film 1 being sent is brought into contact with an adhesive coat roll 3 rotating being immersed into an adhesive solution 8 via a guide roll to be coated with an adhesive. Then, after the adjustment of the amount of the adhesive to be attached with a wire bar 9, the non-adhesive-coated surface of the film 1 starts to be brought into contact with a mirror-finished roll 4 while a support 2 is fed to be laminated on the film 1 and both as laminated are moved tight on to the mirror-finished roll 4 under a hot air fed from a hot air dryer 5 being subjected to a tension. Thus, the adhesion of the film 1 and the support 2 and the smoothing of the surface of the film 1 can be completed at a high speed without wrinkling, curling and the like. Then, it is wound on a takeoff section 7 through a cooling roll 6.

If a manuscript with predetermined characters, figures, etc. written on it is superimposed on a heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper made of a laminate of a film and a support such as paper, and then irradiated with infrared rays, etc., it is possible to use heat-sensitive stencil printing. The parts of the base paper that match the characters and figures of the original document absorb light well and easily generate heat, and the film in those parts is melted and perforated by the heat generated. By this method, an original plate for stencil printing such as a rotary press or a copying plate is prepared.

By the way, when perforating the film side of a heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper made of a laminate of a film and a support such as paper with the same strokes as desired characters, figures, etc., the clarity of the perforated strokes, The big question is whether or not sharp perforations will appear as per the trench stroke.

In other words, if these perforated characters or perforated figures do not appear as clearly as the original characters or figures, the printed characters or figures obtained by stencil printing using these as the original will be unclear and have no value as printed matter.

One of the causes of these defects in perforated strokes is the increased smoothness of the film surface of the heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper. That is,
When using heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper, specified characters,
A manuscript with drawings, etc. written on it is superimposed on the film surface of a heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper, and infrared rays are irradiated from the support side to make perforations in the film that match the strokes of the manuscript. It is already known that the degree of adhesion between the film surface of heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper and the document surface greatly affects the clarity of perforated characters. For this reason, a method of applying pressure from above the superimposed original document and heat-sensitive stencil printing paper is adopted in the punching device. In some cases, this pressure reaches /~. On the other hand, this adhesion is influenced by the surface smoothness of the film that forms the heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper, and the smoothness of this film surface is determined by the manufacturing process of the heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper, that is, between the base paper and the support. Its quality is often determined by the method and conditions of lamination with the film.

The present invention provides a method for bonding a film that is perforated by heating and a support that does not substantially change at the perforation heating temperature of the film and has excellent ink permeability using an appropriate adhesive. A method for producing a heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper, which comprises moving the laminate with the film surface in close contact with a mirror-finished roll, during which time the bonding of the film and the support and the smoothing of the film surface are completed. It provides:

That is, in the present invention, when bonding a support and a film, the film is passed through a mirror roll in close contact with the film, and at the time the film passes through the mirror roll in close contact, the support is supplied to the film and the film is overlapped there. A heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper with a highly smooth film surface can be produced by a novel method of combining and laminating. In this case, an adhesive is applied to one side of the film before passing through the mirror roll, and the non-adhesive side is brought into close contact with the mirror roll, and a support is provided to the adhesive coated side.

Furthermore, in the present invention, when overlapping the film and the support, a pressure method such as applying pressure with a roll is not used, but the lamination is completed by the action of tension applied to the film and the support. be. If external pressure, such as pressure with a roll, is applied during stacking, the rough surface of the support will be transferred to the film surface, and the mirror effect caused by the close contact with the mirror roll will be lost, and the excellent smooth surface of the film will be lost. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain a heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper having the following properties.

The strength of the tension in the present invention needs to be adjusted depending on the physical properties (elongation, tension, etc.) of the film and support, but needless to say, if the tension is too high, curls and vertical wrinkles will occur.

As mentioned above, the tension to be applied must be set depending on the physical properties of the film and support, and is generally 0. ! Good bonding and smoothing of the film surface are possible due to the tension effect of 9 to /2 Ir.

As mentioned above, the present invention has the advantage that the polymer of the film and the support can be moved at high speed and wrinkles (for example, the film surface) while the polymer of the film and the support is being moved in close contact with the mirror roll by the tension effect and the adhesion effect to the mirror roll under no pressure. This allows adhesion, drying, and mirror finishing to be completed simultaneously without producing fine wrinkles.

In addition, this mirror roll is preferably heated to about 0 to 100"C, and this heating smoothes the film surface and promotes adhesion between the film and the support.

The drawings illustrate the manufacturing process of the heat-sensitive stencil printing base paper of the present invention. That is, the sent-out film l is brought into contact with the rotating adhesive coating roll 3 while immersed in the adhesive solution g via a guide roll to coat the adhesive,
The adhesion amount was adjusted using a wire hook 9, and the non-adhesive surface of the film was brought into contact with the mirror roller. At the same time, the support was supplied and superimposed on the film L, and the two were superimposed. While applying tension, the film is moved closely to a mirror roller under the hot air sent from the hot air dryer S to adhere the film to the support and to smoothen the surface of the film to prevent wrinkles, curls, etc. (This is completed at high speed, and then the film is passed through a cooling roll t and wound into the winding section 7.
