いずれか一方にそれと一体的に動く突出体を設け、他方
にロッカアームが前記一対のカムと係合する位置で夫々
前記突出体に係合する一対の周溝と、ロッカアームの無
リフト期間で前記突出体に係合可能であってロッカシャ
フトの軸方向に対して逆向きに傾斜して前記周溝間を結
ぶ一対の案内溝とを設け、かつ、弁作動切換信号に基づ
きロッカアームに切換移動方向の付勢力を与えるトリガ
手段とを設けて構成し、弁作動切換時突出体が案内溝を
介して一方の周溝から他方の周溝に切換係合することに
より、該突出体に追従してロッカアームが軸方向に移動
し、カムとの係合を切換えられるようにしたことを特徴
