PURPOSE:To enable adjustment of the height of a discharge electrode, by turning a screw from a position above a top plate without removing the top plate. CONSTITUTION:When the position of an electrode part 20 of a discharge electrode body 12 is adjusted, a burner cap 7 and a burner port 6 are removed, a driver, (not shown) is inserted into a through-hole 25 from a position above a top plate 5, and through engagement of the driver with a head 22 of an adjusting screw 23, the adjusting screw 23 is turned. Rotation of the adjusting screw 23 causes sliding downward of a moving member 11, and enables adjustment of the position of the discharge electrode 12 held by the moving member 11.
