Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at miniaturizing an air supply device to enhance the silencing effect of a muffler for silencing the sound of discharge air from a blower, by integrally incorporating the muffler with a pulley cover therewithin which covers the pulley section of a drive system. CONSTITUTION:By utilizing a space in a pulley cover 18 covering pulleys coupled to a pump, a blower and a motor which are mounted on the base 9 of an air supply device, on the side that is not shown, a muffler 21 for silencing the sound of discharge air from a blower 7 is integrally formed with the pulley cover therewithin, and further, the discharge port 22 of the blower is connected with the muffler 21 by means of a connecting elbow so that the air is discharged directly from the blower into the muffler 21. With this arrangement, it is possible to save the attaching space of the muffler, and therefore, it is possible to aim at miniaturizing the air supply device, thereby the leakage of discharge air sound from the blower and pressure loss may be eliminated to enhance the silencing effect.
