Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent jolting of a moving roof and to improve resistance to water, by a method wherein a moving roof is energized through the force of a turn over spring even if it is positioned in either an opening or a closed position. CONSTITUTION:Brackets 7 and 8, forming a hollow part, are secured to a moving roof 2, and a turn over spring 12 and a show 13 are contained in the hollow part. Oblong holes 7a are formed on both sides of the bracket 7, which is pivotally secured by means of the shoe 13, and the pin 10 energized by the spring 12 is slidably located. The pin 10 is mounted to the one end of a link 6, ends 6a and 6b of the link 6 are brought into contact with two ends 9a and 9b of a stopper part projected on a support bracket 9 to specify the closed position and the opening position of the roof 2. However, the spring 12, pressing the pin 10, energizes the roof in a counterclockwise direction when the roof is in a closed position and in a clockwise direction when it is in an opening position, and this enables reliable holding of the roof.

[Problems in the prior art and technical analysis thereof] In the above-mentioned prior art, the opening/closing mechanism 25, especially its operating section 26a, is disposed on the rear edge side of the movable roof 23, so the movable roof is difficult for the driver to use. There was a problem in that it was difficult to open and close the 23.

The technical means taken by the present invention to solve the above technical problem is that the opening/closing mechanism for opening and closing the movable roof is swingably disposed between the movable roof and the roof, and the movable roof is moved between the open position and the closed position. The structure consists of a link that rotates between the two, and a turnover spring that is disposed between the link, the roof, and the movable roof.

The above technical means works as follows. The movable roof in the closed position is pushed upward against the force (=J) of the turnover spring that urges the movable roof toward the roof.
Jb Roof (Yo, Link Swings-U), rotates to the upper open position. Accompanying this, the turnover spring changes its biasing direction and biases the movable roof upward. .The movable roof is thus held in the open position.

To close the movable roof in the open position, push the movable roof down towards the roof. As a result, the movable roof swings the link and pivots downward from the movable position to the closed position that closes the opening. The turnover spring again biases the movable roof toward the roof, holding the movable roof in the closed position. Therefore, the movable roof can be opened and closed simply by directly pushing and pulling the movable roof, resulting in a tilt-up sunroof device that can be easily opened and closed.

A pin 10 is attached to one end of the link 6. This link 6 is pivotally connected to a support bracket 9 attached to the guide rail 5 by a shaft 11. Furthermore, the ends 5a and 5b of the link 6 abut against both J9a and 9b of the stopper part protruding from the support bracket 9, and the rotation range of the link 6, that is, the closed position of the movable roof 2 (the solid line in FIG. ), and the open position (as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 4). In the closed position, the pin lO is located below the axis 11, and in the open position,
Pin IO is located above axis 11. Therefore, pin l

Push the movable roof 2, which is in the closed position in FIG. 4, upward. Since the pin IO of the link 6 moves to the right side of the elongated hole 7a, the movable roof 2 rotates upward about the hinge 4. until the open position where the end 6b of the link 6 comes into contact with the stopper part 9b.
The movable roof 2 rotates (indicated by a two-dot chain line). At this time, since the pin 10 is above the shaft 11, the link 6 is biased clockwise in the figure by the turnover spring 12. Therefore, the link 6 is reliably held in the open position.

In addition, link 6 is connected to pin 10. When the shaft 11 and the spring 12 go beyond the position where they are aligned, the urging force of the spring 12 automatically rotates in the time-fit direction. Therefore, the opening operation is extremely easy.
