This invention relates to an anti-glare device that detects when the illuminance of the windshield becomes abnormally high, outputs a signal to that effect, applies a voltage based on this output signal, and controls the light transmittance of a plate-like material installed on the windshield.

Therefore, measures such as tracing the source of the incident or having drivers wear sunglasses were taken.

It was something that was slowing down.

。The present invention has been developed through various studies to develop a device that eliminates the shortcomings of the conventional methods as described above and allows the driver to concentrate on safe driving. This fact is detected and a voltage is applied to, for example, a liquid crystal panel installed on the windshield via a separately provided controller to automatically control the light transmittance.
以下図面を用いて本発明を説明する。The present invention will be explained below using the drawings.

The convex lens 5 in this face illuminance sensor 2 can focus on a photodiode 6 depending on the distance from the face.

It is not practical as it obstructs visibility and becomes an obstacle when getting on and off.

If a function is provided to detect and operate on reflected light that has a significant difference, in practice, no discrepancy will occur.

By processing this with a controller and controlling the voltage applied to the liquid crystal panel installed on the windshield, it is possible to change the light transmittance according to the amount of incident light and keep the amount of light incident on the driver almost constant. Significant effects such as reducing glare, reducing fatigue, and ensuring safe driving can be achieved without the troublesome operations required with conventional devices.

Specifically, for example, the same effect can be obtained when using an electrochromic cell.
