ロットルバルブに向けて配置されたメインインジェクタ
と、機関の冷間状態における始動時に、前記吸気通路に
燃料を噴射するコールドスタートインジェクタと、を備
えた内燃機関の燃料噴射装置において、前記メインイン
ジェクタの燃料噴霧角度範囲を、噴霧燃料の前記スロッ
トルバルブ面への到達位置が、全閉状態から全開状態に
至ル前記スロットルバルブの全スロットル開度の範囲で
、常に該スロットルバルブの上流方向開動先端よりも下
流方向量勤先端側となるように該メインインジェクタを
配置するとともに、前記コールドスタートインジェクタ
を、その燃料噴霧角中心線が、前記スロットルバルブの
回転中心軸と略直交する面内であって、且つ、アイドル
開度における該スロットルバルブの下流方向開動先端近
傍位置を通るように配置したことを特徴とする内燃機関
