Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily display a color title in an SECAM system color video camera by gating color difference signals with character pulses and altering only a character part. CONSTITUTION:Color difference signals (Y-R and B-Y) applied to input terminals 1 and 2 and character pulses 3 are applied to gates 4 and 5, whose outputs are supplied to mixing circuits 10 and 11. Color difference pulse circuits 8 and 9, on the other hand, convert the character pulses into color difference pulses having an amplitude of desired color on the basis of a color selection input, and the outputs are supplied to the mixing circuit 10 and 11 respectively. The outputs of those circuits 10 and 11 are supplied to a color difference sequencing circuit 12 and FM-modulated by an FM-modulating circuit 13, whose output is mixed by a mixing circuit 15 with a luminance signal to obtain a SECAM color signal.
