種製造工程、特に食品製造工程における消泡剤は食品衛
生上安全てあることが望まれるために、一般の製造業に
おいて用いられている消泡剤は使用できず、一般には天
然の動植物性の油脂や食品添加物として認められたシリ
コーン樹脂が用いられている。

、持続性にすぐれ、操作の簡便な消泡剤が待望され、か
つ安価であることが望まれている。また本発明の消泡剤
を構成するゾルビタン脂肪酸エステルおよびグリセリン
脂肪酸エステルは食品衛生法上使用基準に制限がなく、
各々単独でも消泡力を有していることは知られているが
、それらは効果が充分ではないとか、消泡性を備えたす
なわち炭素数14〜24の脂肪酸を持つゾルビタン脂肪
酸エステル、グリセリン脂肪酸エステルについてはこれ
らが粘稠な液体、半固体あるいは固体て通常そのまま使
用することは操作上困難である等の問題がある。本発明
者らはこれらの欠点を解決すべく種々検討を行なつた結
果、グリセリン脂肪酸エステルまたはこれにプロピレン
グリコールを加えたものと、ゾルビタン脂肪酸エステル
のうちの1種または2種と植物性の油脂を配合すること
により、シリコーン樹脂や配合成分を各々単独で用いた
場合よりも消泡性、持続性にすぐれ、食品衛生上安全で
使用基準に制限がない、透明液状の操作の簡便な新規な
消泡剤が得られることを見出し本発明を完成した。

のどちらか1種をそれぞれ(1−1)または(1−1″
)10〜30%,(1−2)30〜60%と植物性の油
脂(■)を40〜90%配合しても効果はすぐれている
が、望ましくはグリセリン脂肪酸エステルにプロピレン
グリコールを加えたもの(1−1″)、ゾルビタン脂肪
酸エステル(1−2)と植物性の油脂(■)をそれぞれ
(1−『)5〜20%,(1−2)40〜60%,■3
0〜60%配合すればさらにすぐた消泡性、持続性を有
し、透明液状で操作が簡単な消泡剤が得られる。

下に本発明を実施例、比較例について説明する。

を試験液として前実施例、比較例で用いた消泡装置によ
り同条件で試験を行なつた。
