エンジン制御回路と、エンジン始動信号に基づいてスタ
ータモータへの通電を制御するモータ制御回路と、を備
え、前記スタータモータが環状に配設固定された電機子
巻線と、電機子巻線の内周部に対向して環状に配設固定
された界磁巻線と、エンジンの出力軸に連結されて回転
するとともに電機子巻線と界磁巻線との間に位置す′ 
る歯状部を有する第10−タと、第10−タの歯状部と
所定間隔を隔てて互いに噛合する歯状部を有する第20
−夕と、第10−夕と第20−タとを連結してこれらと
一体回転する連結部材と、を有し、界磁巻線の通電によ
り第10−タと第20−タの歯状部にその回転方向に沿
って互いに異なる磁極を交互に誘導することを特徴とす
