Abstract

An improved mobile truck for supporting a plurality of removable pans or trays includes a base having a plurality of rollable casters secured thereto. A pair of laterally spaced apart, generally U-shaped frame sections are secured to and extend upwardly from the sides of the base portion. Removable racks are mounted on each of the U-shaped side frame sections and include a first plurality of U-shaped rods that extend inwardly from the frame sections as well as in the direction between the legs of the U-shaped frame sections in order to support the pans or trays. A second plurality of U-shaped rods, similar in construction and orientation to the first plurality of U-shaped rods also extend inwardly from the frame sections and in the direction between the legs of the U-shaped frame sections for minimizing lateral movement of the pans or trays. Each rack is also provided with pairs of vertically oriented rods at each end which pairs of rods are arranged to snap into engagement with the vertical legs of the U-shaped frame sections in order to secure the racks thereto. Alternatively, vertically oriented rods may be utilized instead of the second plurality of the U-shaped rods as the retaining members for minimizing lateral movement of the pans or trays. Still other vertical rods are secured to the rack for support thereof, and in order to separate the front and rear sections thereof so that the truck may be loaded and unloaded from either the front or the rear.

This type of mobile cart is well known for use in kitchens, medical processing rooms, and the like. When using a movable cart, it is required that flat steel etc. can be easily taken in and out of the cart, and that it does not easily shift. Conventional mobile carts met the requirements here. However, since the movable trolley occupies a relatively large space when assembled, it is necessary to disassemble it and transport it when transporting the movable trolley to another location. Therefore, mobile carts are also required to be easy to disassemble and assemble. A typical example of a subordinate mobile cart is described in US Pat. No. 3,655,063.

This mobile trolley has been devised to meet the above requirements. In particular, in order to facilitate disassembly and assembly, each rack is configured to be detachable from the support frame. Although this rack structure has the advantage that the mounting position can be selected arbitrarily, each rack must be attached to a support frame individually.
It takes time and effort. In particular, considerable care and effort is required to position the racks that form a pair. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to
To facilitate the disassembly and assembly of a movable cart, and in particular to enable the entire rack to be easily attached to and removed from the support frame of the cart.

Curved portions 48 and 54 have comparable lengths. The legs 56 are shorter than the legs 46 of the plurality of U-shaped birches 44 and therefore the birch 52 defines a means for limiting lateral movement of the pan or shelf 20. The birches 50 are also attached to the legs 56 of the U-shaped birches 52 so that each birch 52 is spaced above the corresponding birch 40 to hold the birch 52 in a vertically spaced position. For example, as shown in FIG. The side wall has a connecting curved portion 5 of a plurality of second U-shaped cassava 52 facing each other.
4, the protruding edge of such a shelf board 20 overlaps the corresponding connecting curved part 54. Therefore, since the connecting curved portions 54 limit the lateral movement of the shelves 20 with respect to the side frame portions 16 of the truck 12, the problem arises that the connecting curved portions 54 limit the lateral movement of the shelves 20 with respect to the side frames 16 of the trolley 12. Provide means for For example, as shown in FIG.
8 is provided with another pair of vertical birches 58 which are also attached near the intermediate portion of each connecting curve 48 and near the intermediate portion of the upper connecting curve 54.

The basins 58 are spaced apart and act as a reinforcing support for the curved portion 48 holding the shelf 20, and also serve as a foot stop for the insertion of the shelf 20, as shown in FIG. Thus, the truck 12 can be loaded and unloaded from either side, where the logs 44 are well supported and maintained in position by the vertical logs 50,58. Figures 4 and 5

The spacing between adjacent birches 50 of each pair of vertical birches 50 is selected to be at least equal to the maximum cross-sectional dimension of the frame legs 36 of each frame 16. Spaced leg portions 4 of each U-shaped camphor 44, 52
The spacing between the opposing outer surfaces of the legs 6 and 56 is greater than the distance between the opposing inner surfaces of the legs 36 of each frame 16 because the rack legs 46 and 56 are adjacent to the frame legs 36, as best shown in FIG. The spacing is selected to be substantially equal to the spacing between. Rack leg 4
6 and 56 are preferably slightly elastic so that they can be biased in relation to the curved portions 48 and 54. Thus,
As shown in FIG. 3, the legs 46 of the plurality of U-shaped holding camphors 44 and the legs 56 of the plurality of U-shaped adjacent camphors 52 are such that the vertical camphors 50 extend vertically and longitudinally of each frame 16. The cylinders are slightly biased inward so that the peripheries of the separated legs 36 can be pinched.

For example, as shown in FIG.
The lowermost U-shaped birch 44 of the lower rack 18 of each frame 16 is connected to the base 1 while the middle horizontal bar 42 extending between the
Sent to war in 2nd. It is also important that the racks 18 are easily removed by tilting the legs 46 and 56 of each rack 18 toward each other. Another embodiment of a rack according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 6-8. In this second embodiment, the plurality of U-shaped adjacent camphors 52 shown and described in connection with the first embodiment are replaced by a plurality of vertically arranged U-shaped camphors 6, each of which has a pair of A spacer leg 62 and a horizontally curved portion 64 connected to its upper end are provided.
The U-shaped cage 6 is attached to a plurality of horizontal bars 66 extending between spaced apart legs 46' of a plurality of U-shaped retaining bars 44' as described in the first embodiment. The camphor 66 also serves to provide reinforcing support for the rack by attaching the legs 46' of selected retaining camphors 44' to each other. The U-shaped rods 60 are horizontally spaced apart from one frame portion 16 to the other frame portion 16 to a greater extent than the opposing connecting curved portions 48′ of the U-shaped retainer 44′, and therefore the shelves 20 are Multiple U-shaped holding camphors 44
Importantly, it acts as a means to limit lateral movement of the shelf 20 when resting on the connecting curvature 48'. The entire bearing portion of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 to 8 is the same as that shown in connection with the first embodiment, and therefore a description thereof will be omitted. As mentioned above, it would be an important advantage to provide an improved, inexpensive mobile trolley with easily insertable racks for removably supporting a plurality of pans or shelves.

It is clear that the improved trolley may be transported partially assembled, fully assembled or disassembled. The trolley is extremely compact and has high maneuverability with relatively large casters that also provide stability. The trolley may be made of strong tubular material, thick wire, or camphor. In particular, according to the present invention, the rack can be easily attached to and detached from the side frame;
Moreover, since the rack itself is already provided with loading means for pans and the like, no further effort is required for disassembly and assembly.
