PURPOSE:To provide a document printer capable of printing at printing pitches (regarding colums and rows) which are designated by manually moving a printing head on the surface of a printing paper. CONSTITUTION:After adjusting a pen 5 to a reference point 10 by manually moving it, a reference point key on a keyboard 13 is depressed. A CPU10 reads data from an X position sensor 2 and a Y position sensor 4, and stores the data into a memory.
