Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the amt. of feed coal coincide with a predetermined value independent of properties of raw coal, by inserting a pipe supplied with a constant-pressure fluid into a carbonization chamber and controlling coal feeding by detecting pressure variation when the coal fed into the carbonization chamber reaches the tip of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a coal feeding car travelling on a coke oven is positioned on a predetermined carbonization chamber 4, a pipe 16 within a protection conduit 15 is lowered to a predetermined height by a moving device 17, and air at a determined pressure is ejected out of the tip of the pipe 16. Then raw coal is fed to the carbonization chamber 4. When the upper end of the coal within the chamber 4 reaches the lower end of the pipe 16, the air in the pipe 16 is prevented from flowing out. Therefore air pressure rises and a damper 14 is closed by a signal from a pressure sensor 19 which detects the pressure rise to stop coal feeding.

されるパイプと、このパイプの後端部に連結され、パイ
プを」二下動させるパイプ移動装置と、上記パイプ内に
一定圧の流体を供給する流体供給装置と、パイプ内の流
体圧力の変化を検知する圧力検知装置とで構成されてな
る石炭装入レベル検出装置を要旨としている。
