Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a titled casting machine which simplifies an installation by casting the molten metal from a tundish into billets by plural horizoatal molds and rolling down and drawing the billets supported to one support roll provided with calibers by means of one pinch roll pair with calibers. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal is cast to the red hot billets 7 by the plural water-cooled molds 5 in contact with the nozzle 6 of the tundish 1. The billets 7 are supported by one support roll 3 with the calibers and are rolled down and drawn by the secondary pinch roll pair 4 provided likewise with the calibers 9. One unit of installation is just required and the installation is simplified, while the billets are heretofore treated with plural units of the support rolls and pinch roll pairs.
