Abstract

PURPOSE:To vertically convey a transported article received at a horizontal transport portion with high efficiency by disposing a guide roller at a turning portion between upper and lower horizontal transport portions and a vertical transport portion positioned therebetween and guiding an endless belt provided with hollow projections at the center of the width thereof. CONSTITUTION:When a transported article is fed from an inlet 12 of a lower horizontal transport portion 3 onto an endless belt 6, the transported article is guided by guide plates 11 brought into close contact with a projection 10 to be transferred to a vertical transport portion 4 without overflowing at a turning portion 7. The transported article which has passed through the vertical transport portion 4 is guided to an upper horizontal transport portion 3 and discharged from an outlet 13 disposed at the forward end. The upper side of the projection 10 is guided in a close state by the guide plates 11, and as the projection 10 has a vacant space 9 inside thereof and is of strong structure, the projection retains a fixed form, not being inclined downward by the weight of the transported article, so that the transported article can be transported efficiently without dropping down.

A feature of the present invention is that in a conveyor in which belt rollers are provided at both supporting ends of the casing and an endless belt is stretched over the belt rollers, horizontal conveyance sections are provided at the upper and lower portions, and vertical conveyance sections are provided between the horizontal conveyance sections. A conveyance section is installed upright, a guide roller for the belt is attached to the conveyance direction changing section at the bottom, and protrusions are arranged in a row at a predetermined interval in the center of the width of the belt. This is because the inside of the protruding body is made into a void.
