Abstract

PURPOSE:To lessen excessive force or large opening and closing torque imposed upon a packing and to eliminate the need of high working precision by coupling a valve plate to a valve shaft through an elastic member to provide an automatic centering function. CONSTITUTION:A valve shaft 4 is disposed in such a manner as to pierce a valve cylinder 1 in the diametral direction. The valve shaft 4 is provided with projections 7, 7 projected thereon in parallel to each other in the direction perpendicular to the axis.
