Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide ink which has excellent dispersibility and lubricity and can prevent the sinking of ball, the blurring of handwriting and squeaking when used as a ball piont pen ink, by incorporating an acrylic emulsion and a water-soluble amine salt of a high-molecular carboxylic acid in a water-based pigment ink. CONSTITUTION:A water-based pigment ink is obtd. by incorporating an acrylic emulsion (contg. carboxyl groups as hydrophilic group and having a carboxyl group content of 1.0-10.0wt%) and a water-soluble amine salt of a 10-20C carboxylic acid (e.g. diethanolamine salt of capric acid) in a water-based pigment ink. The pigment ink has excellent dispersibility and lubricity and can prevent the sinking of ball, the blurring of handwriting and squeaking when used as a ball point pen ink.
