Abstract

PURPOSE:To install a muffler advantageously in a car etc. which is restricted to height while increase purifying effect by dividing a muffler into plural numbers and installing them in parallel, while distributing an exhaust gas equally and purifying these gas individually. CONSTITUTION:Plural number of cylindrical mufflers 3 are provided in parallel between front and rear end plate 1, 2, and a hollow combustion cylinder 4 whose rear end is taperedly enlarged, is held in the center of each muffler 3. A radially spiral vane 5 is provided on the outside of the front end of the combustion cylinder 4, and the base part of a truncated-cone type guide cylinder 6 is fixed to the inside wall of the muffler 3 at the rear of the vane 5, while an annular dust collecting groove 7 is formed on the outside of the guide cylindsr 6. A distributing pipe 12 is attached to the front end of an exhaust introduction pipe 11, and a collecting pipe 22 is attached to a discharge pipe 21. Thus, by providing plural number of mufflers 3 in parallel, the muffler can be advantageously installed in a car which is restricted by height, while improving dust-collecting and gas-purifying functions.

The catalyst cylinder used in the present invention, as explained in the function section below, is capable of connecting the mirror plate 71 and the catalyst chamber 3 to a force that is unlikely to cause clogging or damage to the pV even after several years of use. A flange joint, a fitting joint, etc. are provided in between (not shown) - If the front end of the cylinder is fitted and joined to the catch and la provided on the boss part of the swirl blade S, it can be disassembled and taken out. It's even better.

(Function) Exhaust gas enters each muffler 3 equally from the exhaust introduction pipe // through the distribution pipe / 2 and the terminal part / 3 ~ the vortex flow is created by the vortex blade S, and the catalyst cylinder is removed by the pulling guide tube B. They gather in the vicinity of the core, swirl around the outer wall of the core, and move toward the rear of the tube.

Immediately after the exhaust gas passes through the guide tube B, large particles in the contained dust are separated to the P side by centrifugal force, and the dust is passed through the dust collection groove 7.
, enters the dust pipe 3/ through the communication hole 3.2. While the gas moving toward the rear side of the cylinder rotates around the outside of the cylinder, most of the fine dust in it is dispersed outward by centrifugal force, and the dust travels backward along the wall surface of the muffler 3 and connects the cylinder 133. Since the dust is collected at the rear of the muffler 3 together with the dust sent to the dust pipe 3, the cock 3'l can be turned on at any time to take it out to the outside.

The gas traveling on the outside of the catalyst tube is heated to the catalyst+I on the entire surface of the tube after removing the fine dust therein as described above.
When passing through the C layer, it is efficiently purified, and the clean gas is discharged to the outside through the collecting pipe, 2.2, and the exhaust pipe, 2/.

(Effects of the Invention) The exhaust purification device of the present invention purifies exhaust gas by distributing it evenly to several mufflers, so each muffler can perform fine dust collection and gas purification, and each muffler is arranged in parallel. Therefore, the height is low and the space is narrow like a passenger car (
In particular, it can be installed in a place with a low height, and since each catalyst cylinder processes the gas from which most of the dust has been removed using its entire surface, it is effective in eliminating the risk of clogging over a long period of time.
