この様な従来の切削バー保持装置の欠点を鱗消すべく種
々の実験を重ねた結果、円盤状磁石材をその厚みの方向
に分極し磁化させた磁石の外側を特殊な形状の非磁性体
のカバーで被覆することにより、驚く程好都合に切削バ
ーが垂直に保持されることを見出した。

る作用があり「しかもその垂直な位置では前述の通り切
削バー301の外周の細い筒面と〜吸着面32,32′
の外筒面とが線接触をするので安定する。したがって切
削バー301はすべて垂直位置で安定化する。実際この
動作は驚く程正確であって、水平や斜に当てがわれた切
削バーは手を離した途端に垂直に吸着される。しかも更
に注目すべきことは、第3図に示すようにある本数以上
の多数の切削バー301を吸着面32,32′に吸着さ
せると〜各切削バー301の間隔が等しくなるように、

いこと、及び磁極である上下の端緑を直接切削バー30
1が磁気短絡するためその付近では漏洩磁束が残らず、
切削バー301の上下両端に反溌力を生じさせる程の強
い磁化を生じないことによるものと考えられる。以上か
らわかるように本発明の装置の原理的な特徴が生じる理
由は、切削バー301に直接接触するようなポールピー
ス(磁極片)を設けず、逆に磁石2の外側に磁石2とあ
る距離を保たせるような非磁性体のカバー3を設けたこ
とにある。

うに置いたときに上面に吸着されてしまうことがあるだ
ろう。しかし、発明者は種々の曲面について実験した結
果、その2次曲面が次の条件を充すときには切削バー3
01がその2次曲面に吸着されることなく必ず円筒状の
吸着面32,32′に垂直に吸着されることを見出した

れており、特殊金属等からなっていて磁気吸着性のない
切削工具を挿入保持することができる。カバー3は台1
上に回転可能なように鼠支されている。その構造の1例
は、第1図に示すように構成されうる。長0ち台1に固
着された大怪部11上に細径部12を持つ回転軸の外側
にスリーブ38を回転可能に嫉め、細窪部12の上端に
は抜け止め用ボルト121をねじ止めし、このボルト1
21によりスリーブ38が上方へ脱落しないように構成
してある。このスリーブ38の外側でカバー3との間に
は外スリーブ33がカバー3と一体に固定され、この外
スリーブ33の上端にはカバー3を回転させあるいは持
ち上げる為のハンドル39が取りつけられている。した
がって所望の切削工具を探すときはハンドル39を持っ
てカバー3を回転させて容易に選び出すことができる。
本発明の歯科用切削バ一等保持装置においては、これの
周囲にどんな角度で吸着させたときにも切削バー301
が自動的に実質上垂直に吸着され且つ等間隔に配置され
る。したがって切削作業に当って切削バー301の保持
や取り出しにきわめて便利である。また切削バー301
の吸着面32,32′はプラスチック製の平滑な円筒面
等にできるため、第4図のような従来の外端縁281,
291のように清掃困難な狭い凹所を有することもなく
、医療関係器具として重要な清潔性の点でも優れている
