近年、鋼板の製造においては連続鋳造で一定幅のスラブ
をつ<シ、粗圧延、仕上圧延を行なってつくる方法が主
流となっている。ところが需要家から要求される製品幅
は一般にスラブ幅とは異なるためのスラブ幅を製品幅に
まで加工する必要がある。このため従来から多くの幅調
節圧延法が開発されてきた。例えば幅拡大圧延法として
は特公昭57−15961号公報にみられるキャメル圧
延法や特許[56−1463号公報にみられる波付圧延
法があり、また幅拡大圧延法としては特公昭47−36
619号公報にみられるエツジヤ−圧延法や特公昭54
−42732号公報にみられるスリ、ト圧延法等がある

った。そこでよシ大きな幅調節を行なう技術として特願
昭57−168471号には幅の拡大および縮少が共に
できるスキー−ロール式圧延法が提案されている。しか
しながら、これに示されている方法だけでは被圧延材に
蛇行が生じて幅調整がうまくいかない。この理由は板材
がパスライン中心よシ福かでもずれて例えば第1図に示
すように作業側(W〕に寄ると、板材先端SDが幅調節
圧延ロール1に噛み込まれるタイミングよυも板材先端
Swが幅調節圧延ロール2に噛み込まれるタイミングの
方が若干早いため幅調節圧延ロール2の引込力によシ板
材は作業側〔W〕にずれていく(駆動側はCD)で示す
