Generally, synthetic fiber tow is fed to a crimping device after stretching and crimped, and then continuously loaded onto a conveyor via a J-type chute, etc., and sent to a heat treatment device that circulates heated gas. Drying 1. After being subjected to heat setting, etc., it is taken out from the other end and further transferred to the next process.

As shown in FIG. 1, such a heat treatment apparatus includes a number of partitioned heat treatment chambers 2 provided across a conveyor 1.
A conveyor-type heat treatment device that generates an aeration circulation flow A, or a so-called band-type or tunnel-type dryer, is usually used. After being transported through heat treatment such as drying, heat setting, and cooling in each heat treatment chamber 2, it is taken out from the rear end. However, recently, production conditions have changed due to the production of multiple brands or products in small quantities. As the tows are frequently changed, the placement of the stand-shaped tows placed on the conveyor also changes, resulting in the following problems.

That is, when tows T from two processes are placed in parallel on a conveyor and heat-treated at the same time, the two sets of placed tows T are shown in a cross section perpendicular to the direction of movement of the conveyor 1 as shown in FIG. A gap 3 in between or a gap 3' in which no tow T is loaded is created between the tow T and both ends of the conveyor 1.

When the tow T is transferred to the heat treatment chamber 2 in this state, the ventilation flow in the heat treatment chamber 2 mainly passes through the gap 3 which has relatively low resistance, which may reduce the heat treatment efficiency of the tow T or cause heat treatment spots. A problem has arisen.

Reference numeral 23 denotes regulating bodies provided in the dryer main body 15 along the conveyor 11, that is, on both ends of the wire mesh 12a located above, and located on both ends of the wire mesh 12a to block the ventilation flow circulating from above. It restricts people from passing through the area.

Reference numeral 32 denotes a partition body disposed at the center of the width direction of the conveyor 11, which is suspended from the rectifying plate 19 via bolts 33 like the regulator body 23, and has the same effect as the regulator body 23.
This is not necessarily required.

In a heat treatment apparatus having such a configuration, for example, when two series of tows are loaded and transferred in a forest shape on a conveyor via a J-type chute (not shown) as shown in FIG. Since the tow is not placed in the center and a gap is created, hot air flows through the gap, resulting in poor drying or thermal efficiency. However, in the present invention, as described above, the regulating body 23 or the partition body 32 is used to fill these gaps. Because there is a tow T
moves between these, and therefore the hot air flows almost like a forest tow T
The heat passes through the entire surface uniformly, greatly improving thermal efficiency and eliminating heating spots.

Here, since the regulating body 23 is fixed so as to be movable in the width direction of the conveyor 11, it is optimally adjusted according to the stand width W of the tows T to be supplied, and therefore even if the stand width changes due to a change in brand, etc. This can be accommodated.

Note that, as shown in FIG. 6, the partition body 32 may be fixed and adjustable so as to be movable in the width direction of the conveyor 11, similarly to the regulation body 23.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 7, the regulating body 23 may be provided with a slidable plate-like member 23', or the plate-like member 23' may be used alone or in combination with the regulating body 23 itself to be extendable in the width direction of the conveyor.

In this embodiment, the regulating body 23 and the partition plate 32 are arranged inside the dryer main body 15, but it goes without saying that they may extend outside the main body 15.

Further, it is preferable that the regulating body 23 and the partitioning body 32 be inclined as shown in FIG. 4 so that the hot air is dispersed toward the toe side, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the regulating body is provided along both ends of the conveyor and is movably fixed in the width direction, so that the gap between both ends of the conveyor is blocked according to the tows to be supplied. This greatly improves the efficiency of heat treatment of tow and enables homogeneous heat treatment, which is extremely effective in terms of product quality, energy saving, and cost.
