Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 く技術分野〉 本発明は２枚の基板間に液晶物質が充填されてなる液晶
セルを２枚の偏光板にて挾持してなる液晶表示装置を用
いた装置システムに関する。
〈従来技術〉 従来、液晶表示装置は液晶セルの表面及び裏面に偏光板
が配置される構造のものがほとんどである。
く目　的〉 本発明はこのような構造の液晶表示装置において観察者
が立体的に感じるような新規な装置システムを提供する
ことを目的とする。
〈実施例〉 以下、本発明に係る液晶表示装置システムの一実施例に
ついて図面を用いて詳細に説明を行なう。
図面は本発明に係る液晶表示装置システムの一実施例の
構成説明図である。■は液晶表示装置本体であり、該液
晶表示装置本体１の表面に一１互いに直交する方向に偏
光軸を有する２枚の偏光板２ａ。
２ｂが配置される。この偏光板２ａ、２ｂは従来の液晶
表示装置の上面の偏光板と同一の機能を果たす。８は上
記液晶表示装置本体１を観察する為の観察用眼鏡であり
、該眼鏡３には上記２枚の偏先板２ａ、２ｂと夫々同じ
方向の偏光軸を有する２枚の偏光板４ａ、４ｂが夫々左
眼用及び右眼用として組み込まれている。５は観察者で
ある。ここで上記液晶表示装置本体１の表面に配置され
た２枚の偏光板２ａ　、２ｂの夫々に対応した位置にお
いて液晶表示装置本体１で左眼で見たパターン及び右眼
で児たパターンが別個に表示され、夫々のパターンを眼
鏡３を通して観察すれば、観察者５の前に立体像か現出
されている如く感ぜられるのである。ここで偏光板２ａ
と偏光板４ａの偏光軸が同一方向であり、偏光板２ｂと
偏光板４ｂの偏光軸が同一方向でろシ、且つ偏光板２ａ
　、４ａと偏光板２ｂ、４ｂの偏光軸が互いに直交して
いるので上記した左眼で見たパターンと右眼で見たパタ
ーン七は別々に左眼及び右眼に映ぜられる。
ここで上記液晶表示装置本体１は一体であっても別体に
構成しても構わない。
〈効　果〉 感じるよう左表示形態か実現できるものである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １．２枚の基板間に液晶物質が充填されてなる液晶セル
    を２枚の偏光板にて挾持してなる液晶表示装置を用いた
    装置システムであって、前記液晶表示装置の表面に配置
    され互いに直交する方向に偏光軸を有する２枚の偏光板
    と、該２枚の偏光板と夫々同じ方向の偏光軸を有する２
    枚の偏光板が夫々右眼用及び左眼用として組み込まれて
    なる観察用眼鏡と、前記液晶表示装置の表面に配置され
    た２枚の偏光板の夫々に対応した位置において右眼で見
    たパターン及び左眼で見たパターンを別個に表示する手
    段とを備えてなる液晶表示装置システム。
