Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of a gas-water separating chamber and improve the pumping efficiency by installing a rectifying wall which suspends onto the upper wall of the returned-water passage of the gas-water separating chamber and preventing the reduction of the self-priming efficiency in the case when the dimension of the gas-water separating chamber is reduced. CONSTITUTION:The flow of gas foams is cut-off by a rectifying wall 14 installed so as to suspend onto a part of the upper wall 13 of a return-water passage 7 installed in a gas-water separating chamber 9. The returned water from which gas foams are removed is introduced into an annular flow hole 8, passing through the lower part of the rectifying wall 14. Therefore, the rectifying wall 14 serves for separating gas from water during the selt-priming operation by the use of priming, and said rectifying wall 14 serves as the resistance in the returned- water passage 7 when the normal pumping operation is performed, and thus a self-priming centrifugal pump having a high pumping efficiency which does not require the returned water can be obtained. Since the reduction of the self-priming effieciency in the case when the dimension of the gas-water separating chamber is reduced is prevented, the dimension of the gas-water separating chamber can be reduced, and the pumping efficiency can be improved.

離室、1oは吸込口、11は吐出口である。

くなり、寸だ、自吸完了後の揚水効率の低下をきたす問
題が生じる。

たものであシ前記整流壁を設けたことによシ、呼水を行
っての自吸作用時には前記整流壁が気水分離の役割をな
し、正常な揚水運転時には、前記整流壁が戻り水通路の
抵抗となり、揚水効率の高い自吸式渦巻ポンプとするこ
とができるものである。

シ水通路7の抵抗となり、戻シ水を必要としない正常の
揚水運転時にも、好都合である。

発生する揚水効率の低下がないので、揚水効率の良いポ
ンプを提供できるものである。
