Claims

Exhaust throttle valve control for a diesel engine, in which an exhaust throttle valve is provided in the exhaust passage of the engine, and the throttle valve is set to be almost completely idle during exhaust braking, and the throttle valve is controlled to an intermediate opening degree in a predetermined operating state other than no load. In the device, the exhaust throttle valve is rotatably supported on the exhaust pipe via an eccentric shaft, and an exhaust gas is connected between the exhaust throttle valve side connecting member and the actuator side connecting member between the exhaust throttle valve and the actuator. An elastic member is interposed to urge the throttle valve in the closing direction, and the actuator-side connecting member contacts the exhaust throttle-side connecting member when the exhaust throttle valve is in the fully closed position, so that the exhaust throttle valve is approximately fully closed. 1. An exhaust throttle valve control device for a diesel engine for a vehicle, characterized in that the exhaust throttle valve control device is configured to hold the exhaust throttle valve at a constant temperature.
