Claims

Teeth are formed on the outer periphery of a pair of reels that are rotatably housed in a cassette housing consisting of an upper and lower half, and the reels are configured to be slidable so that they can move in and out of the middle part of both reels. A pair of elastic locking claws provided on the reel stopper are respectively engaged with both toothed portions of the two reels to restrict the rotation of the two reels in the tape feeding direction. In the tape cassette configured, a recess is provided in the sliding surface on which the reel stopper slides on the bottom wall of the lower half, and the reel stopper is slid within the recess to lock both of the reel stoppers. A tape cassette characterized in that the claw is configured to engage with both of the teeth at an intermediate position S in the vertical direction.
