Claims

In a tape cassette, the tape cassette has a casing having an opening formed on the front surface, and a U-shaped lid body having a rotation center on both sides and opening/closing the opening in both directions, the upper end surfaces of both sides of the lid body. Alternatively, a tape cassette is provided with a recess that is located at approximately the same planar position as the lower end surface and that is formed along an insertion path of the tape cassette into a tape recorder.
