To explain this invention based on the drawings, a hot air inhaler 1 (hereinafter referred to as the device) forms a hot air generation chamber 2 by surrounding the outer periphery of a heating element with a box-shaped outer wall that is highly insulated. An air inlet 3 is provided on one side of the hot air generation chamber 2, and a flexible hot air introduction pipe 4 with two ends is provided on the opposite side. The tube 5 is constructed so that it can be airtightly attached to each of the two nostrils of the human body.

As a result, the heat generation capacity of the heater 6 is equal to the voltage regulator 11.
By operating the , the amount of hot air corresponding to the amount of air taken in the normal breathing state of the human body can be adjusted to any temperature within the temperature range from about 37 degrees Celsius, which is no lower than the average human body temperature, to the upper limit of about 80 degrees Celsius. It is constructed so that it can be held at

Since the device 1 is configured as described above, if the tip tube 5 of the hot air introduction tube 4 is airtightly attached to the two nostrils of a person suffering from a cold and the power supply circuit is closed, the heater will be heated. 6 starts to generate heat, and as the human body breathes, warm air is inhaled into the nasal cavity each time the human body takes in air. At this time, since there is usually a considerable amount of mucus in the nose due to a cold, the voltage regulator is operated to set the hot air temperature to 80° C. and the air is inhaled. At this time, the 80°C warm air inhaled into the nasal cavity first comes into contact with the nasal mucus and immediately causes vaporization of the nasal mucus due to heat exchange. The warmth of the hot air is barely felt, and the nasal mucosal cells are not destroyed at all. Continuous inhalation of high-temperature hot air reduces the amount of nasal mucus in the nasal cavity, and if the temperature of the hot air is appropriately lowered, the operation can be performed more safely. In other words, as the nasal mucus evaporates and transpiration progresses, when the water that covers the nasal cavity approaches a state of insufficient water, the warmth of the warm air is acutely felt in the nasal cavity for the first time.
faintly perceived. However, at this point, there is still a few seconds left before the warm air becomes slightly hotter. Therefore, at this point, immediately stop inhaling warm air into the nasal cavity.

As a result of repeated experiments many times, it was confirmed that this method showed an extremely sensitive response and that destruction of nasal mucosal cells could be safely prevented with high accuracy.

Next, the temperature of the hot air is lowered and the air is inhaled into the nasal cavity, and while taking into account the amount of moisture in the nasal cavity and the temperature of the warm air, the inside of the nasal cavity is brought to a dry state to the extent that the nasal mucosal cells are not destroyed.

In this way, the warm air is finally inhaled into the nasal cavity for an appropriate period of time while maintaining the temperature of the hot air at around 40°C.

What should be noted here is that, as mentioned above, keeping the inside of the nasal cavity in a near-dry state and continuing to inhale warm air is considered to have a considerable effect on the treatment of colds.

In this example, the maximum temperature of the hot air is 80°C.

As explained above, this invention makes it possible to apply air at a temperature far exceeding 43°C, which is conventionally considered the maximum temperature that can be safely introduced into the nasal cavity. In the case of a cold, the nasal mucus that normally occurs in large quantities over a long period of time can be dried and evaporated extremely efficiently.
This can further promote the therapeutic effect of colds.
