車両に取付けられるシートのシートバックに固着され、
内側面に内歯ギヤが形成されたアーム部材と、シートク
ッションに固着されたベース部材と、前記内歯ギヤの中
心を通り前記アーム部材とベース部材を貫通して設けら
れ、前記アーム部材とベース部材の間に位置する部分に
偏心軸部を有する偏心シャフトと、該偏心軸部に設けら
れ、前記内歯ギヤに噛合され、かつ、内歯ギヤの歯数よ
り少なくとも一歯だけ歯数が少ない外歯ギヤと、を備え
たリクライニング機構をシート左右に設け、両すクライ
ニッグ機構のうち一方の偏心シャフトに外側ギヤを設け
、該外側ギヤを駆動手段と連動させ、該駆動手段によっ
てシートバックをシートクッションに対して角度調節可
能に形成したシートリクライニング装置において、前記
ベース部材より内側に位置する前記左右の偏心シャフト
に内側ギヤを設け、かつ、該左右の内側ギヤのシート座
面と反対側に内側ギヤよりも歯数を少なく形成した連動
ギヤを設け、該左右の連動ギヤをギヤシャフトによって
連結させたことを特徴とする車両用シートのリクライニ
ング装置。
