DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a test propeller used for observing cavitation occurring in a propeller in an aquarium test.

Cavitation occurs when these parts come into contact with high-speed water flow.
.. 2 is generated by the propeller 01. Conventional propellers cannot be made of synthetic resin, even if they are models, because they are exposed to high-speed water currents; metals such as aluminum and brass are generally used. Therefore, it is naturally opaque, and therefore the cavitation 02 occurring on the surface of the propeller 01 could only be observed from one side of the propeller 01.

本発明はこの欠点を排除するものであって、キャビテー

The present invention eliminates this drawback, and provides a test propeller for cavitation testing, which includes a through hole provided in the thickness direction of the blade, and a transparent member filled in the through hole. The present invention provides a test propeller characterized by having:

The present invention will be described below with reference to an embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 to 5.

The occurrence of capitation in the propeller 1 is checked in advance through a preliminary test, and the location to be observed is determined.

A through hole is made in that part of the propeller 1 in the thickness direction of the blade of the propeller 1 by an appropriate means, and a transparent member 4 is fitted therein.
As shown in Fig. 5, the two halves of the transparent member 4 may be inserted from both sides of the prober and joined at the middle, or molten plastic may be poured into the through hole and molded. . Thereafter, the surface of the propeller 1 is repaired so that the joint with the transparent member 4 is smooth and has the same shape as the original shape of the propeller 1.

Now, when the test propeller of this example is put into a hollow water tank or the like and tested, cavitation 2 occurs in the same way as in the conventional case.

Cavitation 2 can be observed from both sides of the propeller 1 (from above and below in FIG. 4) because a necessary part of the propeller 1 is repaired with a transparent member 4.

Therefore, the behavior of cavitation 2 can be observed from a wider angle than when using a conventional propeller, which can be useful for research on problems such as damage to propeller materials caused by cavitation 2.

In the above embodiment, a through hole was provided in the center of the propeller 1, but if you want to see the weave of the propeller 1, you can of course provide a notch at the end and repair it with a transparent member. Settle.
