Abstract

PURPOSE:To form an assembly hob which is simply fabricated with a high degree of accuracy, by fixing a blade 2 in the cylinder section of a cylindrical hob body, and by finishing teeth by means of a wire-cut process with the second surface of the blade being made linear. CONSTITUTION:In an assembly hob a blade 2 is secured removably to a cylindrical cross-sectioned shape body 1 by means of bolts 3. The blade 2 has an arcuate assembling surface 7 facing the body 1, and the second surface 9 which is linear. Teeth 10 in the blade 2, each having a linear part 10A, a curved part 10B and an undercut part 10C which forms a peak tooth part in each tooth part, are fabricated by a wire cut process. The body 1 is formed into a cylindrical shape without being separted by a cutter groove, and therefore, the fabrication thereof may be simple and the accuracy thereof may be enhanced.
