PURPOSE:To vary size and hardness of a wall of a magnetic toner, and to make a toner layer thin and uniform by using a magnetic pole opposed to an opposed magnetic pole of a trimming member, as magnetic poles opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic toner 2 is attracted to an opposed magnetic pole N of a trimming member 6 by its magnetic force and a toner wall 11 is fored. In this case, the toner wall 11 swells out toward a magnetic pole S1 of a magnet group 9, but since a sleeve 8 rotates, a small gap 12 is generated in the lower part of the toner wall 11. て、本発明の現像装置によれば、トリミング部材の工作
精度を荒くすることができるとともに、現像ロールとト
リミング部材間の設定精度も荒くでき、機内汚染の原因
となる浮遊トーナーをトリミング部材(二で吸着するた
め:機内汚染による弊害をも防止することができるなど
の優れた効果が得られるので、その利用価値は顕著であ
る。
