テープ装置において、前記磁気テープの動きを表示ラン
プ等に表示する磁気テープ装置の状態表示方法に関する

ータはチェックすることが可能であった。しかしビデオ
テープを使用するとその構造から磁気テープ装置の外部
からは磁気テープの動きを見ることが出来ない。ビデオ
テープを用いるビデオ装置や音響装置では磁気テープの
動きが分からなくとも映像や音が出ることから動作して
いることが判明する。しかし磁気テープ装置では計算機
と情報の授受を行っている場合、オペレータは磁気テー
プの動作状態が全く不明で、障害発生時等には調査に支
障を生ずるという欠点がある。

気テープの量を判断することも可能となる。
