PURPOSE:To eliminate an error between tape running quantity and corresponding display time, by displaying a tape running time by a voltage signal having a frequency being in proportion to the number of revolution of a rotating body corresponding to a tape running speed. CONSTITUTION:A frequency generator provided on a motor part 3 generates voltage having a frequency being in proportion to the number of revolution of a capstan 2, and this voltage is waveform-shaped by a waveform shaping circuit 6 and is inputted to a motor driving controlling circuit 4.
