本発明は、電子写真複写機等記録装置に用いられる熱ロ
ーラ定着装置の改良に関し、特に、ヒータを内蔵し外径
が中央部よシも両端部の方が大きい定着ローラと外径が
一様の圧接四−ラによってトナー像の付着した記録紙を
挾圧して送り、1・す−像を記録紙に定着する装置の改

くしたことで、反って、記録紙に大きな波釘現象が生じ
、その記録紙の裏面にさらにトナー像の記録を行ったり
すると、今度はしわとなって現われると云った問題があ

に応用した場合は、記録紙を挾圧する圧力が定着ローラ
の外径を中央部よシも両端部を大きくした熱ローラ定着
装置とは逆になって、中央部の方が両端部よりも大とな

に隙の生ずることがない、従来の熱ローラ定着装置にお
けると同程度の範囲にするのがよい。この外径差の範囲
は、例えばローラ軸を330tnmとすると、0.05

録紙のサイズ別に分類したしわ発生率、同、逆は、両面
記録における記録紙の送り方向の首尾が先の記録と後の
記録で同じ場合と逆の場合で分類したしわ発生率、淡、
中、濃は、鉛筆書きの像の記録のようにトナー付着濃度
が低い場合と、タイプ印書像の記録のようにトナー付着
濃度が中程度の場合と、写真像の記録のようにトナー付
着濃度が高い場合とで分類したしわ発生率である。また
