合は、図10に示す如く、定着ロ−ラ4の両端部に絞り
加工を施さず、定着ロ−ラの主要部の外径のまゝ軸受を
設けることも可能ではあるが、高速駆動の場合やある程
度直径が大きい場合は、トルクが上昇することを避ける
ために玉軸受を使用しなければならず、それに伴うコス
ト上昇が生ずると云う問題があった。又、軸支部が大径
である場合は全周に亘って摺動する滑り軸受を使用した
場合、トルクが増大する以外に接触面積が大きくなるた
め熱が発生し、熱伝達により周辺の各部に影響を及ぼし
