Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the arrangement of an identifying device and as well to aim at reducing the cost of the identifying device, by measuring the diameter of an identification hole formed in a work fixture and by starting the cutting of a workpiece when the measured diameter is equal to a value in a pert program. CONSTITUTION:When a pallette 11 secured thereto with a workpiece 12 by means of a fixture 13 is shifted from a pallette magazine onto a table by a pallette changer and is seucred to the table, the workpiece 12 is made possible to be cut. At this time, before the starting of cutting a spindle 16 is advanced to measure the diameter of a hole 15 in the fixture 13 by means of a touch sensor 17. If the measured value is equal to a numerical value stored in the forehead of a pert program for cutting the workpiece 12 in a memory, the cutting of the workpiece 12 is started, but if it is not equal to the numerical value, the pallette 11 is returned to the pallette magazine, and the next pallette is introduced. Thus there may be eliminated such a risk that an incorrect workpiece is cut and therefore becomes no good article, no tool tool being damaged, and the existing installation may be utilized so that the cost of the device may be reduced.

In machining by VMS or FMC, there are several types of workpieces, and multiple part programs are assigned to each required workpiece, but this work is done by humans. There are mistakes because the operator does it. When a different program is assigned to a workpiece, the workpiece may become defective and the tool may be damaged. A work identification device is available as a mechanism to prevent this mistake from occurring.

Conventional workpiece identification devices attach a mark code to a slot on which a workpiece is placed, read the mark code using a limit switch or optical method, and place the mark code at the beginning of a note program for processing the workpiece. Cutting was started when the entered cutting number matched. Workpieces can be identified using this method, but the mechanism is complicated and the cost is high.

The workpiece identification device for a machine tool according to the present invention is provided with a hole for workpiece identification that has a different diameter depending on the type of workpiece on one side of a fixture for fixing the workpiece to the lutte on a sawlet. Before cutting the workpiece, it is measured by a touch sensor for post-cutting inspection that is attached to the processing machine, and cutting is started when the measuring device matches the value in the part program for cutting the workpiece. It is characterized by

The present invention will be explained below with reference to figures showing one embodiment. 1] is fixed on a table (not shown), and a fixing tool 13 for a work 12 is placed on the e-let 11K. The workpiece 12 and the fixture 13 have a one-to-one relationship, that is, the workpiece is fixed by a fixture having a fixed shape. The fixture 13 is adapted to secure the workpiece 12 via a piece 14, and a hole 15 for identifying the workpiece having a constant diameter is provided on one side of the fixture 13.

Therefore, if the type of workpiece is different, the diameter of the hole 150 mm will be different. On the other hand, a touch sensor 17 is attached to a movable body of a machine tool, such as the main spindle 16, for inspecting the machined part after cutting the workpiece.
is attached, and this touch sensor 17 moves to measure the diameter of the hole 15. The measured values are then stored in a storage device (not shown).

Next, the operation of the embodiment described above will be explained. When the nozzle 11 with the workpiece 12 fixed by the fixture 13 is transferred from the nozzle magazine (not shown) to the table by the pallet changer (not shown) and solidified, the cutting of the workpiece 12 is started. It becomes possible. Before starting cutting of the workpiece 12, the main shaft 16 is moved forward and the touch sensor 17 detects the fixing tool 1.
Measure the diameter of hole 15 in No. 3.

As explained above, the workpiece identification device for a machine tool according to the present invention is provided with a hole having a diameter determined by the type of workpiece on one side of the fixture that fixes the workpiece on the seat. Measurement is performed using a touch sensor installed on the machine tool to inspect the machining results of the workpiece. The measured values were compared with the values stored in the part program for cutting the workpiece, and if they matched, cutting the workpiece was started and the unmatched mollets were returned to the pallet magazine. Therefore, since it is determined whether the workpiece matches the workpiece to be cut before cutting starts, it is no longer possible to cut the wrong workpiece and end up with a defective product, and the tool is no longer damaged. Furthermore, for identification, the cost is low because most modern machine tools are equipped with a fixing device that is always used to fix the workpiece to the sawlet, and a touch sensor to measure the hole diameter after cutting the workpiece. It has the following advantages.
