  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 運転者の前方に配設され、光透過率が可変な光透過率可
    変器と； 車両の所定距離前方にトンネルが存在することを検出す
    るトンネル検出手段と； 車両がトンネルに進入したことを検出するトンネル進入
    検出手段と； 前記トンネルが所定距離前方に存在することが検出され
    た場合に前記光透過率可変器の光透過率を低減させる光
    透過率低減手段と； 前記車両がトンネルに進入したことが検出された場合に
    、前記光透過率可変器の光透過率を上昇させる光透過率
    上昇手段とを具備することを特徴とする視界向上装置。
