Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a head pipe for a two-wheel barrow at a low cost by moving forward and backward a pair of drawing dies and burnishing punches against the end part of a work, and executing simultaneously drawing and burnishing. CONSTITUTION:A new work W is held by a gripper 5, and fed in between drawing dies 11, 21 containing burnishing punches 13, 23. The work W is held by moving forward the drawing die 21 of the movable side, and by further moving it forward, both ends of the work W are drawn to a necessary shape. Subsequently, when the burnishing punches 13, 23 are moved backward, the inside surface of both ends of the work W is finished to a necessary size. The drawing die 21 of the movable side has a little smaller diameter than the drawing die 11 of the fixed side, therefore, when the drawing die 21 of the movable side is moved backward in the end, it moves backward in a state that the work W is held, contacts by pressing to the tip of a sleeve 4b of an ejector 4 projected relatively, and discharges the work W.

た。このため、工程毎にワークの着脱搬送等の工程が必
要となって、加工費の削減が思うにまかせないといった
問題を有していた。

パンチで、各ドローダイ11.21内でこれらとは独立
に加工位置と退避位置間を往復動し得るよう、一方のバ
ニッシングパンチ13は固定ホルダ2の後面に固設した
油圧シリンダ14のピストンロッド15先端にジヨイン
ト16を介して取付けられ、他方のバニッシングパンチ
23は、メインピストンロッド25内に設けたサブシリ
ンダ26のサブピストンロッド27の先端に一体的に取
付けられている。4は、成形後のワークWを排出するた
めのエジェクタで、そのベース部4aは、メインピスト
ンロッド25を摺動可能に支持すべく基台1に設けたス
ライドホルダ3の前面に一体的に取付けられ、成形後の
ワークW端部とほぼ同径に形成されたスリーブ4bは、
ピストンロッド250周面に穿設された長溝25aを介
してこのベース部4aに一体的に取付けられ、メインピ
ストンロッド25の軸内にあって、その先端は後退位置
におけるドローダイ21の前面とほぼ同じ位置にまで伸
びている。

されて両ドローダイ11.21間に送り込まれてくると

絞り加工を行う。この絞り加工の過程において固定側ド
ローダイ11内に圧入されたワークWの端部はバニッシ
ングパンチ13の側面に設けた肩部13aと当接して位
置決めされるため、可動側ドローダイ21が予め決めら
れたストロークだけ前進すると、薄肉パイプからなるワ
ークWの両端は所要の形状に絞り成形が施される。

り加工の終了段階において、内面加工手段を後退させる
ことにより、二輪車用ヘッドパイプのドロー及びバニッ
シング加工を同時に行なわせることができ、工程を分け
て行なう場合に必要なワークの着脱作業等を省いてその
加工コストを大幅に削減することができる。
