Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower a height dimension of the whole magnetic head, to reduce a degree of bending of an erasing magnetic yoke, and to stabilize a magnetic coupling of a magnetic yoke and a magnetic core by laying down and providing the recording and reproducing magnetic yoke and the erasing magnetic yoke on the surface of a slider. CONSTITUTION:A recording and reproducing magnetic core 10 and 11 for forming a magnetic gap, and an erasing magnetic core 14 and 14' provided at a prescribed interval on both sides of the magnetic recording and reproducing magnetic core 10 and 11 are buried in a slider 17 consisting of a nonmagnetic material.
