テープを早送りあるいは巻もどしすることの出来る磁気

のねじれ矯正距N1が長くテープのポストへの巻付角が
小さいので、回転磁気ヘッドシリンダに磁気テープを添
接させたままでも比較的小さなエネルギーで早巻きある
いは巻もどしc以下Fケ面Wと記す)できる利点を持つ
。一方Mローディング方式は、テープローディングメカ
ニズムが簡単になる反面、テープのねじれ矯正距離が短
くテープのポストへの巻付角が大きいので、回転磁気ヘ

は、磁気テープ(2)はキャプスタ−州とピンチローラ

ダ(8)に磁気テープ(2)を巻付けたまま早送りしよ
うとすると、磁気テープ(2)はテープ引き出しピン(
9)〜(l匂pよび回転磁気ヘッドシリンダ(8)に巻
付込てbるので、各部での巻付テンションロスの為に巻
取リール台(5)の磁気テープ(2)を巻取るトルクは
大変大きなものとなる。%に回転磁気ヘッドシリンダ(
8)へは約190°も巻付けているので巻付はテンショ
ンロスが大きく、特に湿度が高くなるとロスが大きくな
り巻き取れないことが発生する。そこで第2図に示す如
く、磁気テープ(2)が、磁気ヘッド9句を有する回転
シリンダ(8a)と、この回転シリンダ(8a)を駆動
するためのモータ(図示せず)を内蔵しかつ磁気テープ
(2)の走行案内をする為の段部を有する固定シリンダ
(8b)とに添接されている状態で、?’F/REV時
もテープ定速移送時と同様に前記回転シリンダ(8a)
を回転することにより、磁気テープ(2)と回転磁気へ
ッドゾリンダ(8)との間に薄いエアフィルムを形成さ
せて、巻付はテンションロスを小さくするようにしてい
たが、充分ではなかった。この為従来のMローディング
方式の磁気テープ装置では、カセット(1)内に磁気テ
ープ(2)を収納した状態で”/REVを行なっている
。しかしその都度テープのローディング及びアンローデ
ィングをしなければならず操作が極めて煩雑であるとい
