Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunctions for maintenance and inspection of a process controlling system, by operating a switch provided in an input or output part of a process input/output device to inhibit the transmission of control commands from a process controller to a process device. CONSTITUTION:In case of maintenance and inspection of the process controlling system, a switch 9 provided in an input part 5 of a process input/output device 2 is set. When the switch 9 is set, a process controller 3 handles this setting as the input of one data. Consequently, it is discriminated whether data inputted to the input part of the process input/output device 2 from data output parts 41-4n of a process device 1 or mimic output devices 81-8n is mimic information or information for normal operation on a basis of this data of setting of the switch 9. As the result, control processing functions in the process controller 3 are locked by software to prevent surely malfunctions of the process device.

Generally, such locking is achieved by changing the mode of each of various processing programs such as data processing, control processing, and programs in the process control device 3. As a result, locking requires specialized knowledge and a great deal of effort and time, and locking errors occur frequently, which is a major factor that makes it difficult to perform this type of maintenance and inspection.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention operates a maintenance/inspection switch provided in the data input/output section of a process control device during maintenance and inspection of a process control system, and generates simulated information using software according to the state of this switch. By providing at least one of the following: a means for separating information during normal operation by 1% and a means for cutting off the transmission path of control commands output from the process control device to the process equipment, The system is characterized by prohibiting the sending of control commands to prevent process equipment from malfunctioning.

Since the switch 9 is provided as described above, the process control device 3 inputs the set and reset states of the switch 90 as one data. Based on the state of this data, it is determined whether the data input from the process equipment data output units 41 to 4n or the simulation output devices 81 to 8n to the input unit 5 of the process input/output device 2 is simulation information or information during normal operation. Therefore, during maintenance and inspection of the system, this switch 9 is set and the control processing function within the process control device 3 is locked by software. Further, when performing normal process control, the switch 9 is reset.

According to the above embodiment, the control processing function in the process control device 3 is locked or unlocked by software by simply setting and resetting the switch 90, which is similar to the conventional mode designation change. There is no need to spend a lot of time and effort, and the occurrence of locking errors can be easily prevented.

As described above, according to the present invention, by operating the switch provided at the input section or the output section of the process input/output device, a control command can be generated from the process control device to the process equipment using software or nodeware. Since this is prohibited, it is possible to provide a process control system that can easily and reliably prevent malfunctions of process equipment even when impersonation information is input to a process control device during maintenance and inspection of the process control system.
