Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal damage of a water cooled laser processing nozzle and to stabilize laser processing by providing a filler wire nozzle, a side guide nozzle to said nozzle and a sealing gas nozzle around said nozzles into one body. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 1 is irradiated, through a laser nozzle 2, to an object 6 to be worked. The nozzle 2 is kept water cooled by the cooling water through outlet and inlet ports 7, 8 for cooling water and is thus kept free from thermal damage. A filler wire nozzle 3 and a side gas nozzle 5 are built into the nozzle 2 body and therefore the position at the tip of the wire 4 is stabilized and the side gas 5 is securely ejected to the working position. Protective gas is ejected from a back sealing gas nozzle 10 and a front sealing gas nozzle 11 to the periphery in the working part and therefore the laser processing is stably accomplished.
