Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operability and to reduce the probability of mis-operation, by using an incoming dial information stored in a calling terminal when a caller requests message registration, and setting automatically a channel with a voice storage device. CONSTITUTION:When a pushbutton(PB) telephone set 1 is hooked off, an adaptor control section 6 in an adaptor 2 converts a telephone number of an opposite PB telephone set 5 into code information at a dial information conversion section 8 and stores it. When an opposite party is absent or busy, the caller depresses a message registration button 10 without hook-on. The control section 6 switches a changeover switch 13, controls a DC loop control section 12 and makes an oscillation request to a subscriber exchange 3. A selecting signal to the voice storage device 4 stored in advance is converted into a PB signal at a transmission/receiving circuit 11, the signal is transmitted to the exchange 3 to call out the voice storage device 4.

Conventionally, a subscriber calls a voice storage device in a telephone line and registers a message to be transmitted to the other party in this device.
A voice storage system is known in which the voice storage device calls the other party after a predetermined period of time and transmits the message to the other party. In such systems, it is rather rare for a subscriber to wish to register a message from the beginning, and it is common for a subscriber to wish to register a message after learning that the called party is busy or absent.

In this case, the subscriber will once have access to '114. There were problems in terms of operability, such as the need to perform the message registration operation again after the handset was turned on-hook, and the sequence of operations was not consistent.

In order to solve these shortcomings, we use an adapter or a dedicated terminal as a subscriber terminal, and modify the interface of the voice storage device to make it compatible with these dedicated terminals. Although there have been attempts to improve performance, the problem is that the operability has not been improved much despite the high system cost.

Furthermore, in the past, various types of relatively long information required for message registration were entered by the subscriber's own push button operation, so there was a problem that the probability of erroneous operation was relatively high.

Effects of the Invention As described in detail above, the present invention temporarily stores the called party dial information sent to the entire network in the calling terminal at the time of making a call, and after that, the calling party can send a message. When registration is requested, a pre-stored selection signal is sent out to automatically set up a communication path with the voice storage device, followed by automatically sending out the 11'3 message necessary for registration of called party dial information, etc. Because of this configuration, there are advantages in that operability can be improved and the probability of erroneous operation can be reduced without making any modifications to the switching equipment or voice storage device.
