Prior Art and Problems Conventionally, a subscriber calls a voice storage device in a telephone network and registers a message to be transmitted to the other party in this device, and the voice storage device calls the other party after a predetermined period of time and transmits the message. A voice storage system for transmitting information to the other party is known. In such systems, it is rather rare for subscribers to wish to register messages from the beginning;
It is common for a user to wish to register a message after learning that the called party is busy or absent. In this case, the subscriber must once turn on the telephone and then perform the message registration operation again, resulting in problems in terms of operability, such as a lack of continuity in operations. In order to solve these drawbacks, operability has been improved by using adapter-equipped telephones and dedicated terminals as subscriber terminals, and by modifying the interfaces of exchanges and voice storage devices to fit these dedicated terminals. There have been some attempts to achieve this, but the problem is that the system cost is high and the operability is not improved that much.

Furthermore, in the past, since the subscriber himself inputs various relatively long pieces of information necessary for message registration by pressing a button, there was a problem in that there was a relatively high probability of erroneous operation.

Assume that PB telephone 1 calls PB telephone 5. When the PB telephone 1 is taken off-hook, the loop monitoring unit 9 in the adapter 2 detects the formation of a loop and the dial tone from the call register 15 of the local exchange 3, and notifies the adapter control unit 6 of this fact. Upon receiving this, the adapter control section 6 controls the dial information conversion section 8 and the loop monitoring section 9, converts the telephone number of the other party's PB telephone 5 to be dialed by the PB telephone 1 from the PB signal into corresponding code information, and stores it. do.
If PB telephone 5 answers the call from PB telephone 1,
The subscribers of both telephones follow normal procedures to complete the mutual call. In this case, the adapter control section 6 receives a notification from the loop monitoring section 9 that the PB telephone 1 has gone on-hook, and clears the accumulated code information of the telephone 5. If the code information of the other party's telephone is sequentially overwritten, the clearing operation described above is not necessary.

On the other hand, if the PB telephone 5 does not respond, that is, by listening to the busy tone from the busy tone generation circuit 16 of the local exchange 3 or the ring tone from the local trunk 17, the caller of the PB telephone 1 can If the caller learns that the caller is busy or absent, the caller
Adapter 2 is used to request message registration to the other party without on-hooking PB phone 1.
Press the message registration request button 10. Detecting this, the adapter control unit 6 notifies the caller that the message registration request has been accepted by lighting the lamp of the button 10, and also controls the changeover switch 13 to connect the subscriber line to the DC loop control circuit. 12 and the side connected to the in-band signal transmitting/receiving circuit 11. Subsequently, the adapter control unit 6 controls the DC loop control circuit 12 to open the loop of the subscriber line, abandoning the call operation to the PB telephone 5, and controls the DC loop control circuit 12 again after a predetermined period of time. The subscriber line loop is closed and a call request is made to the subscriber exchange 3.

The transmitter/receiver circuit 11 detects a dial tone from the transmitter register 15 of the subscriber exchange 3 and notifies the adapter controller 6 of this fact. Upon receiving this, the adapter control unit 6 sends a selection signal for the audio storage device 4, which has been recorded, to the transmitting/receiving circuit 11.
converts this into a PB signal and sends it to the subscriber exchange 3. Local exchange 3 that identified this selection signal
calls the audio storage device 4, and the interface unit 19 in the audio storage device 4 that detects this call notifies the control unit 18 of this fact. Upon receiving this, the control section 18 controls the operation of each section within the audio storage device 4 according to a known predetermined procedure. That is, the control section 1
8 first controls the interface unit 19 to cause the subscriber exchange 3 to send a response signal, and also causes the in-band signal transmitting/receiving unit 21 to transmit a response confirmation sound to the adapter 2 . This response confirmation sound is received by the transmitting/receiving circuit 11 via the interface section 19, the subscriber exchange 3, the changeover switch 13 in the adapter 2, and the DC loop control circuit 12.
notifies the adapter control unit 6 of this fact.

Upon receiving this, the adapter control section 6 inputs a pre-stored service code (generally a control signal) for instructing message registration, a variably settable terminal ID (PB telephone) pre-stored in the terminal ID setting section 7 1 telephone number) and the telephone number of the PB telephone 5 which has been temporarily stored as described above, the transmission/reception circuit 1
Sequentially send out the PB signal from 1. When this transmission is completed, the adapter control section 6 switches the changeover switch 13
is controlled to draw the subscriber line to the PB telephone 1 side. On the other hand, the PB signal sent from the transmitting/receiving circuit 11 prior to switching of the changeover switch 13 is received by the control section 18 via the subscriber exchange 3, the interface section 19 of the audio storage device 4, and the transmitting/receiving section 21. Upon receiving this, the control unit 18 controls the audio processing unit 20.
and controls the audio file unit 22 to start the audio storage operation, and also controls the transmitter/receiver unit 21 to issue a recording start signal using a tone to prompt the generation of message input.
Send to PB telephone 1. After confirming this tone, the caller of the PB telephone 1 sends a message to be stored. This message is compressed and coded into a digital signal by the audio processing section 20 in the audio storage device 4, and stored in the audio file section 22.

When the caller from the PB telephone 1 finishes uttering the message, he or she turns on the PB telephone 1. The transmitting/receiving circuit 21 of the audio storage device 4 detects the busy tone and notifies the control unit 18 to that effect. Upon receiving this, the control section 18 controls the audio processing section 20 and the audio file section 22 to end the storage operation, and then controls the interface section 19 to send a call termination signal to the subscriber exchange 3 and open the loop. Let's do it. On the other hand, prior to this, on-hook of the PB telephone 1 is detected by the loop monitoring section 9 in the adapter 2, and the adapter control section 6 is notified of this fact. Upon receiving this, the adapter control unit 6 turns off the lamp of the message registration request button 10, and ends the series of operations described above. The control unit 18 of the audio storage device 4 calls the PB phone 5 after a predetermined time based on the phone number of the PB phone 5 that was stored at the time of registration, and calls the audio file unit 2.
Send the messages stored in 2.

In the above example, the caller of PB telephone 1 performs on-hook immediately after finishing the message, but prior to on-hook, the caller of PB telephone 1 sends the sound end code to the PB.
It is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the information is transmitted as a signal and the control unit 18 is notified of this via the transmitting/receiving unit 21 of the audio storage device 4.

Effects of the Invention As explained in detail above, the present invention temporarily stores the called party's dial information sent to the telephone network upon making a call in the calling terminal, and then when the calling party requests message registration. The system is configured to send out a pre-stored selection signal to automatically set up a communication path with the voice storage device, and then automatically send out the information necessary for registration, such as called party dial information. This has the advantage that operability can be improved and the probability of erroneous operation can be reduced without making any modifications to the storage device.
