監視装置において、 上記アンテナからの電波パルスのパルスレベルをホール
ドするピークホールド回路と、上記電波パルスの受信に
基づいて鋸歯状波を発生する鋸歯状波発生回路と、 上記ピークホールド値と鋸歯状波レベルの一致を検出し
て一致信号を送出する比較回路と、上記一致信号に基づ
いてn(n≧2)個のパルスを送出するパルス発生回路
と、 少くとも上記パルスのn周期間発振するマイクロ波発振
器と、 上記n個のパルス毎にマイクロ波の発振周波数を走査す
る周波数走査回路と、 上記マイクロ波を減衰させる減衰器と、上記パルスのn
周期間において各パルス毎に上記減衰器の減衰量を順次
定レベルずつ変化させる減衰量制御回路と、 上記減衰されたマイクロ波を応答パルスとして送信する
