Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a quartzite fuel which has a high calorific value and is inexpensive by mixing powdered quartzite, charcoal, Kanepearl and waste clay into a paste obtained by agitating a mixture of waste paper and water. CONSTITUTION:Water is added to waste paper and a paste is prepared by agitation. Powdered quartzite, charcoal, Kanepearl and waste clay are added to the paste. The mixture is stirred and formed into balls and the balls are dried. EFFECT:The method produces a quartzite fuel costing about 40% of the price of petroleum.
