[Detailed Description of the Invention] The purpose of the present invention is to not only reduce noise generated by falling circulating water in a cooling tower, but also to facilitate the separation of sludge mixed into the circulating water.

A conventional cooling tower has a water spray tank 1, as shown in Fig. 3. Filler 2, lower saucer 3. It is equipped with a lower water tank 4, and while circulating water flows down from the sprinkler tank 1 to the filling material 2, a fan 5 sucks in air from the outer looper 6, passes through the filling material 2, exchanges heat, and releases the air from the upper outlet T. The circulating water is sent from the filling 2 to the lower tray 3 and from the lower water tank 4 to the refrigerator for circulation, and the circulating water flows from the sprinkler tank along the filling and flows from the lower end of the filling onto the lower tray 3. When the water level falls to the water level, a loud water sound is generated, and the loudness of the sound depends on the size of the head difference between the lower end of the packing 2 and the operating water level.
The smaller the head, the smaller the water noise.

However, the operating water level changes depending on the capacity of the circulating water pump or the characteristics of the automatic water supply device (ball tap).
The problem is that when the operating water level decreases, the head difference with the lower end of the filler increases, causing the water noise to become louder.

According to the results of actual measurements, the sound of falling water becomes low in the relative relationship between the operating water level and the lower end of the filling when the head is within the range of 20 m to 30 Mm. The water sound is the same as when the water level reaches the operating water level, but if it goes above that level, the water sound cannot be suppressed.

Furthermore, in order to remove the sludge mixed into the circulating water, conventionally there is no effective separation means, so the circulating water must be completely replaced, which is inconvenient.

However, if the distance between the filling material and the lower tray is increased to make cleaning easier, the head difference will become larger and the sound of falling water will become louder. Although the sound may be reduced, it is difficult to implement because the lower part of the packing is submerged in water and the gas-liquid contact efficiency is reduced.

The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and is a cooling tower having a saucer placed below the filling and a lower water tank connected to the tray, in which the filling is placed above. The cooling tower is characterized in that a weir of a desired height is provided on the saucer on the lower water tank side at a position where the cooling tower is not closed.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained with reference to the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 1 shows the filling 2, the lower tray 3, the looper 6, and the main parts of the invention, and FIG. 2 shows the lower tray 3. , shows the lower water tank 4 and the main parts of the present invention.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 8 denotes a weir provided on the lower tray 3 to dam the water on the lower tray 3, and its position is from the lower end of the filling 2 toward the center of the cooling tower. It is installed so as not to interfere with the cleaning between the lower trays 3, and the height is such that the distance between the water surface dammed by it and the lower part of the filling minimizes the sound of falling water, for example 2.
Set to 0 to 30 mm or less.

In Fig. 2, a weir 8 is provided at the boundary between the lower saucer 3 and the lower water tank 4, and is placed at an appropriate interval on the downstream side of the fence in order to prevent the sound of water falling from the upper edge of the layer into the water tank 4. Water guide plate 1
0 is provided in an upright shape, and its upper end is higher than the weir 8 and its lower end is submerged below the water surface in the water tank 4. The water guide plate 10 prevents water from flowing and falling from the upper edge of the weir to a far distance. The falling sound is reduced by blocking the flow and causing the induced flow to fall.

With the above configuration, the water falling into the lower tray 3 is temporarily stopped by the weir 8 and then overflows, so the water level is limited to the upper edge of the weir 8, and the height of the wall is the same as the water level and the filling material 2. Since the distance from the lower end is predetermined so that the falling water temperature is the lowest and the water level is constant, the sound of the water falling from the filling is the lowest, which is effective for noise prevention.

Since the sludge in the circulating water settles in the lower tray on the upstream side of weir 8, the amount of sludge that crosses the weir and mixes into the circulating water decreases, reducing the amount of contamination of the circulating water, and therefore preventing the sludge from dissolving into the refrigerator. This has the effect of reducing refrigerator accidents and reducing the number of times the circulating water needs to be replaced.

Moreover, the weir 8 is located at a position where the filling is not placed above so as not to interfere with cleaning between the lower part of the filling and the lower tray, and is installed on the tray on the lower water tank side, making it easy to clean the line part. Since the sludge can be discharged and removed from the sludge drainage hole 9, cleaning is convenient.

As described above, the present invention has numerous effects such as prevention of the sound of falling water, removal of sludge from settling, reduction of sludge in circulating water, reduction in the number of exchanges of circulating water, ease of cleaning, and reduction in operating costs, and is of great practical benefit.
